Exploit sportivo per Eriadne: domenica 11 ottobre dalle 9:00 di mattina Eriadne seguirà la testa della medio fondo della Gianetti Day per mostrarvi sulla loro pagina e proiettato al punto di ritrovo al Monteceneri la posizione esatta al minuto dei ciclisti.



4 Ottobre 2009 - Esercizio riuscito con il Soccorso Alpino Svizzero

Si è concluso con successo l'esercizio SAS di ricerca e recupero di tre persone disperse, fra le quali una dotata del sistema Eriadne. Al termine dell'esercizio sono stati presentati i dati raccolti durante lo svolgimento dello stesso ed è stata impartita una specifica istruzione per rendere attenti i soccoritori nella ricerca effettuata sulla base di coordinate GPS



24.8.2008 - Next features coming

Almost one year passed since Eriadne came out with his first version, we know, last months we could not put as much resources as we planned, this remain a time spare driven project.
But for Eriadne's first birthday we would announce new interesting features comming:
  • a brand new website
  • the possibility to have maps as background of the Eriadne screen, please, send us your maps, we would like to test. (see alpha version on left)
  • possibility to save excursions in KML format on mobile phone and reload them for future use or offline download
  • group concept: share your position with your friends
  • possibility to take pictures and send them on googlemap (as you can do now with text comments)
  • ...do some fixes you kindly notified us

2. Download the application and create your account

New version since 30.6.2008 (what changed?)

Enter the following address in your mobile web/wap browser 
    http://www.eriadne.org/get
You will receive a confirmation request via email and will have 48 hours to confirm, after which you will not be able to get your path online. Pravacy policy: We will keep your email confidential and will not share your email with third parties. Your email is needed as unique ID.

3. Run the application

Open the application with the icon:
Eriadne
Answer YES to the request to allow the application to get your position and allow the application to follow you.
From then Eriadne will get your location every 15 seconds and show on screen.
On screen you'll get other information like :
  • coordinates (CH1903 or WGS84) and height in meters.
  • the geographic path and the height history
  • compass (geomagnetic or based on relative movement)
  • the direction of the location and distance



If you would like to inform someone about your position hit the button menus and choose among:
  • Send SMS to send a single SMS with Swiss coordinates, longitude, latitude and height via SMS to one of your contacts.
  • Send to Eriadne to send your position to another person who has Eriadne. Very useful feature for GEOCaching.
  • Send Path to send all saved positions since the application start to Eriadne server. You will be asked to specify a GPRS connection and confirm to use it.
  • Automatic Send same as like Send Path sends saved positions every 5/15/30 or 60 minutes to Eriadne server. The first time, you will be asked to specify a GPRS connection and confirm to use it.
